Enigma Theatre would like to invite you to an exciting event: ”Theatre Night with Enigma” which includes a panel discussion with theatre makers and a raffle.
On behalf of the Polish Embassy in Dublin and Enigma Theatre we would like to inform you about the PolskaÉire 2015 Festival, supported by Dublin City Council and the Polish Embassy in Dublin. We aim to demonstrate how the merge of Polish and Irish culture, music and theatre is inspiring young artists to produce exciting new work in a multicultural Ireland.
As a participant of PolskaÉire 2015 Festival, Enigma Theatre is organising ”Theatre Night with Enigma”, an event on 28th March 2015 (Saturday) to celebrate World Theatre Day (27th March) in Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin.
Enigma’s objective is to invite Irish guests such as theatre makers, artists and critics to participate in a panel discussion. The guests will reflect on the work of two major theatre practitioners in twentieth Century Theatre: Tadeusz Kantor and Samuel Beckett, and their influence on modern theatre in both Ireland and Poland. The panel discussion will be followed by a raffle, food and beverages.
The aim of this upcoming event is to investigate to what extent Irish theatre has changed throughout the years and how Polish culture, theatre and music have influenced modern Irish theatre practitioners.
This project corresponds with the main purpose of the upcoming PolskaÉire 2015, Polish – Irish Festival 2015 (21-29 March 2015) which aims to foster greater integration between the Polish and Irish communities. The festival is supported by Dublin City Council, Irish- Polish Association and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland Dublin http://www.dublin.msz.gov.pl/en/root.
Enigma Theatre is dedicated to supporting and developing multicultural plays and presenting theatre artists of international standing in avant-garde, alternative and unconventional works.The mission is to inspire, challenge and empower both artists and audiences through exceptional theatre, with an aim to achieve cultural diversity in all our endeavors.
The panel discussion will be followed by a raffle, food and beverages.
The project is supported by The Polish Embassy in Dublin. The The Polish Embassy covers the rental cost of the Banquet Hall in Smock Alley Theatre that is €1,100.
